In September of 1984, after graduating top in his class from Israel’s Tadmore Culinary School Avi Bear moved to Cincinnati Ohio and took a job as an assistant Pastry Chef at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel. There, he honed his skills and learned about the baking industry. After a 9 month stint in the hotel industry Avi, an independent thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, decided to start his own company.
