Avi's Company History

“I realized there was a need for quality desserts in high-end food establishments where management could not afford to hire private pastry chefs” Bear said.

With no place to work out of but his two bedroom apartment Avi began to develop and produce fine cakes and pastries to market to local country clubs and restaurants in the Cincinnati area. In May of 1985 Oven Art Inc. produced it’s first “product for sale”. The immediate success of Avi’s desserts forced the operation from his tiny apartment to an established bakery in the Norwood neighborhood of Cincinnati.
